I know its not up to me, but I thought it would be nice to have a poll going for it.
So what you guys think? Should we turn it on and give it a try or keep the FF off?

-=FF On=-
* Less Nade/Tube/Tank/Morta spam ---> Beter gameplay?
* More tactical aproach
* Less spawn on Squad ---> You will now try to say you gona spawn and ask if its clear to spawn insted of Zerg over a point/enemy. As it might get you killed by a teammate trying to kill some one and you pop up infront of him.
* Penelty for killing/shoting team mates --> More think before shoting.

-=FF Off=-
* No risk of killing your team, shot everything that moves and mass spam of Nade/Morta...
* Well what more to say, just as the game we have now...

If you have more to say that I could not come up with be my guest and add...

FF on gets my vote, the way I see it it makes the game more interesting/tactical. However, this is on the proviso that we have sufficient admin presence (as in enough people with access) spread around so that when the inevitable tards make an appearance and TK people for tanks/choppers/whatever we can deal with it accordingly.

FF on makes admin role a nightmare as we just never get to play the game. Also it is tough at the moment to spot your own team in a firefight due to the colours/fonts used.

I agree would be more realistic but gameplay wise it would be a sod and a pain in the ass. once they fix the other issues with team balance etc then possibly we can try it.

so I say no for the time being

Lol Indy! :)

I say we turn it on for a few days and see how it goes! Is there also any word on further admin access for the server for other members perhaps?

no on FF just now

and not yet. The list will be contained and VERY strict rules to follow. More will be announced over next few days.

for Admins to work, we need to establish

    rules and guidelines
    admin list from our trusted and loyal members
    tools to use to make your life easier
    things like that, remember you will be the face of the dl* and an admins job is a nightmare, be prepared to lose all semblance of gameplay for yourself!

My vote is to try it on to see what happens, it may very much increase gameplay and less mortar/nade spam.

As Iv said in the past Id like FF to be on just to get rid of "gun-hoo" feel of shoot everything that moves, we did have FF on our BF2 and BF2142 server without any big problems.

But at the same time I totally agree with you funkster.
We need rules, admins and a auto balance patch...

[edit]

Have it on for a day or two so we can have a feel and to see If the server suffers.

[/edit]
