So who's playing it?

Are you enjoying it?

Any interesting things to discuss?

Screenshots?

I have it, and it's great so far. I never played the first one so it's all fairly new to me. It all looks rather nice but there are one or two model glitches which ruin it now and then, but its only because everything else is so polished.
The guns feel right but the cover system isn't smooth enough for my liking.
The AI is pretty dumb sometimes, but better than most games I suppose.

I'll post some screens at some point.

anyone else notice Miranda's cameltoe right away?

Heh I have it and am playing it when I have a spare moment.

I DID play mass effect 1 and believe me when I say the way your decisions in that game interact with the sequel is awesome. Even little things like how you dealt with assignments or even little tiny miniquests is built in even if it's just getting an email from someone you helped in the first game.

The AI and cover is much improved from the first one, but cover is still a little wierd and tends to be a bit too "sticky"

I'm not keen on the addition of "Fuel" on the ship travel screen, but the mining probes are FAR more fun than having to drive all over the planet looking for lumps of stuff.

Think I might finish the first game before I get around to this one, bought the original shortly after release and for one reason or another never found the time to play it properly.

Yes, Darren, 1st screen she was in! I'm more of a Kelly man though :)

Soooo many properly awesome surprises in this. Great set-pieces, better mining and better gfx.

Gun& tech upgrade is poo - largely non-sensical. The whole ammo thing is a retro-grade step too, but does add some fear to later encounters.

Standouts: Jack's youth, Professor Solus - really good character, Solus's GIlbert & Sullivan, the Geth world with the hyper sun, the constant under-current of mistrust with Cerberus which makes you question every important decision you make, Joker & EDI, the whudda-whudda sound of eezo.

Mature, exciting, innovative and refined. Especially if you start with a Lvl50 Paragon! There's a webby out there with a collection of ME1 saves for those who did what I did (completed on 360).

92% (points lost for things that break immersion - gfx glitches, cities that never change inhabitants or conversations).

I have nothing to add to any of the above praise, because Im too busy having Mass Effect 2 babies.

Actually, I will say this: Playing the Mass Effect series should be required under law for gamers and developers alike.

Hmm im going to have to give this another lash then I guess, wasnt a fan of the repetive linear play that permeated Mass Effect 1 (and DA:O), but ill go back and give it another lash and then.

One other thing I have to say, is that everything is great... even the login screen is great. I can only imagine this to be one of the many way they made everything so fabulous:

Artist: I've finished splash screen three.
Manager: Is it awesome enough?
Artist: What do you mean, "awesome enough"?
Manager: I mean, if this splash screen doesn't make the sandwich delivery girl's clothes just fall off when she sees it, it isn't going to make it into the game.
Artist: Make her naked? That would be awesome!
Manager: You see my point then?
Artist: I will return tomorrow, and the splash screen will be awesome.
Manager: And so will lunchtime. Now go! We're counting on you!
